Yahoo surges as Microsoft deal speculation heats up

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — Shares of Yahoo Inc. rose nearly 7% Friday, gaining ground on news of a possible higher offer from Microsoft Corp. and an expanded partnership with Google Inc.
